Theological notes for all principles
Lutheran schools and creation
All people have a responsibility towards creation regardless of whether they are believers or non believers in God. Care for people and the environment should be a topic which is given priority in Lutheran schools …. Topics such as the environment, global warming, Indigenous issues, social justice questions, human dignity, ethical living, etc, can be seen as examples of the way in which God cares for the world.

Living faithfully in God’s creation
For several years various environmental groups and scientists have raised their voices in our communities to protest against the exploitation and willful destruction of the environment, or to urge that we repair the damage already done….
Unfortunately the environmental concerns of people have seemed mostly to arise from pragmatic concerns about a bleak future rather than religious concerns about living in God’s world.
Pastor Aub Podlich has published six studies to better understand God’s design for his creation and to live responsibly, reverently and joyfully in his creation: Keeping things in perspective, Human beings: special creatures, The cosmic scope of God’s plan, What does ‘dominion’ mean?, Reverence for the earth, The church at work within God’s cosmic plan Read more...
